Designed by renowned Arquitechtonica, International Finance Centre (IFC) Seoul, features three office towers, a 5-star hotel, and a 40,000-sqm shopping centre. In 2012, Richard Hamilton headed a project team of Korean and international executives to deliver this US$1.5B mixed-use project. AIG engaged Richard and his team to provide development management, centre operations, leasing, and marketing services.

Key challenges included leasing subterranean retail to global retailers and operating the retail precinct while construction continued overhead on the towers. Opening results were impressive with the centre fully leased and trading forecasts exceeded for occupancy, rent, and traffic. The asset sold to Brookfield for US$2.7 billion in 2016, delivering financial overperformance to the development’s investors.
